UK Civil Partner Visa Requirements

To Meet the Requirements of a UK Civil Partnership Visa, You Will Need to Prove that:

1. you are your partner are both 18 or over
2. you’re in a civil partnership that’s recognised in the UK
3. you have a good knowledge of English, and
4. you can financially support yourself and your dependents

Additionally, Your Partner Must Also Either:

1. be a British or Irish citizen, or
2. have settled in the UK and have proof of permanent residence, or
3. be from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein and have pre-settled status (provided their residency in the UK started before 1 January 2021), or
4. have a Turkish Businessperson visa or Turkish Worker visa, or
5. have protection status (a refugee or a person with humanitarian protection)

You and your partner must intend to live together permanently in the UK after you apply.
