UK Fiancé Visa Requirements

To Meet the Requirements for a UK Fiance Visa, You Will Need to Prove That:

1. any previous marriages or civil partnerships have ended
2. you plan to marry or become civil partners within 6 months of arriving in the UK

• comes from the government, a bank, a landlord, a utility provider, or a medical professional
• confirms your relationship with your partner (e.g. that you live together or share expenses)
• is less than 4 years old

Your Partner Must Also Either:

• be a British or Irish citizen, or
• have settled in the UK and have proof of permanent residence, or
• be from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein and have pre-settled status (provided their residency in the UK started before 1 January 2021), or
• have a Turkish Businessperson visa or Turkish Worker visa, or
• have protection status (a refugee or a person with humanitarian protection)
