Aberdeen Life in the UK Test Centre

PSI at Aberdeen College
North East Scotland College, Ground Floor,
Gallowgate,
Aberdeen,
Scotland,
AB25 1BN

By Car

  • Aberdeen’s test location is in the North East Scotland College building on Loch Street (Gallowgate), just northwest of the city centre.
  • If you are coming from the west of Aberdeen, please use the A96 into the city.
  • On the other hand, if you are coming from the north or south, you should take the A90, which leads to the city centre easily.

By Bus

The test spot is close to several bus transit lines. If possible, choose a service that stops at one of the following places along the way:

  • Nelson Street, Seamount Road, and the Bon Accord Centre. You can walk from any of these bus stops to Loch Street in five minutes.
  • Please click on the link to plan your own trip to the test centre using a service on Aberdeen’s local bus network.

By Train

About a kilometre south of the college site is Aberdeen Train Station, which makes it easy to get to the college from places in Scotland and the UK.

Although connecting bus services are accessible to the location, given the distances between buildings and bus stops, we recommend walking to the test centre. To do this, take the B983 north and then use Back Wynd and Harrier Street to get through the city centre before merging onto Loch Street. As you head north, go straight through the roundabout and continue towards the venue, which will be on your right when you get there.

Visit the ScotRail website for real-time information on train times, station services, and how to get to stations.

Parking

Loch Street doesn’t have a lot of on-street parking, so getting a spot on test day isn’t guaranteed. We suggest that you find another site first before going to the test site. You can find information about parking choices in your area on this Parkopedia page.

We recommend that you park at West North Street, which is only 500m northeast of the college building. The prices are fair, and the location is very convenient. A parking ticket valid for two hours costs £2.40 and gives you plenty of time to find the test site, take the test, and then go back to your car. Kindly keep in mind that you can either pay with cash or through the PayByPhone service line. This place has parking spots for people with disabilities and charging stations for electric vehicles.

For assistance with your reservation, call the Life in the UK Test Helpline at 0800 015 4245 (Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm).
