Blackburn,

Car

Blackburn’s testing centre is located in Kings Court on King Street, close west of the town centre. The M65 passes through Blackburn to the south, with the A666 and A678 providing good connections from the highway to the town centre. Although the test centre’s address is stated as King Street, the entrance to the King’s Court building is located on Old Bank Street.

Bus

Multiple bus lines pass close to the test centre. If using a service provided by Blackburn’s local bus network, please aim to arrive at one of the following stops:

  • Harrison Street
  • Blackburn College or
  • Barton Street.

All of these stops are within five minutes walking distance of Old Bank Street.

Train

Blackburn Train Station lies at the opposite end of the town centre, approximately 650 metres east of the venue. To get to the test site from here, head west past the commercial centre and merge onto Darwen Street. Continue west, along King Street, then towards the venue.

The National Rail website provides live departure and arrival schedules, available amenities, and accessibility information.

Parking

There is some on-street parking right outside the building on Heaton Street, but there’s no guarantee that you will be able to find a spot on the day of your test. Nonetheless, there are various suitable parking alternatives nearby, with King Street being likely the most handy. A two-hour parking ticket will cost £2.10, giving you plenty of time to get to the venue, take your exam, and then return to your vehicle. Please keep in mind that parking machines accept both credit cards and cash payments.

For alternate parking options, please visit the corresponding Parkopedia page, which is available here.
