Glasgow Life in the UK Test Centre

PSI Glasgow
Adelphi Centre, 1st Floor,
12 Commercial Road
Glasgow,
Scotland,
G5 0PQ

By Car

The testing spot is in the south of the city, near Glasgow Green and on the banks of the River Clyde. From the north, the M8 highway leads to Glasgow, and from the south, the M74 highway leads to the city. The A74 goes right by the test centre and through the middle of the city centre. The spot is inside the Adelphi Centre building, which is on Commercial Road.

Even though there is parking on-site, please see the alternative choice below in case this one is full. If you would rather look for other parking options, please go to this page about Glasgow that supports Parkopedia, which can be found here.

Car Park at King Street

This place can hold 620 cars and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The following are the parking fees:

  • £3.45 for an hour
  • £5.95 for two hours
  • It costs £6.95 for three hours.

After that, prices slowly go up for every extra hour that the car is stopped. In any case, you probably won’t need more than three hours for this visit unless you want to stay in Glasgow longer than your test. Still, if this is the case, it’s important to know that 24-hour tickers can be bought for £15.95

Money can be paid with a card, cash, or the PayByPhone service line. To use the PayByPhone feature, please call 0330-400-7275 or text 65565 and include the location ID (15151).

This building has parking spots for people with disabilities.

This parking lot is about 800 m from the test centre. From the south-west, go to Saltmarket and then cross the River Clyde on the Crown Street bridge. Follow Adelphi Street along the Clyde, and after the Homeless Network Scotland building, turn right. You will see the Adeplhi Centre on your right.

Bus

A lot of bus lines go through and near the test site. If you use one of those services, please try to get to one of these bus stops:

There is a stop on Waddell Street that is only 300 metres from the building. To get to the test centre, take Commercial Street north and then turn left at the first intersection that leads to the Adelphi Centre.

Lawmoor Street stop: This spot is about a kilometre away from Commercial Street. However, there aren’t any good connecting bus routes that could help you on your way. Proceed northwestward, going past St. Francis’ Community Centre and across the A74. Then, please keep going north on Commercial Street until you reach the venue.

In order to get to the test place from the High Street stop, which is quite far away (about 1.3 km), you will need to take the blue line. To get there, just take High Street South and join Saltmarket. From here, please follow the steps in the section notes for the King Street Car Park.

Go to the Adelphi Center’s “Moovit” homepage to find out what bus routes are running nearby.

Train

There are many trains stops in the city, making it easy to get to all of its different neighbourhoods and areas. Argyll Street station, which is in the middle of Glasgow, is the nearest local station to Adelphi House. If you’re coming into the city from somewhere else, though, you might go straight to Glasgow Central, the city’s main train stop.

The directions from Argyll Street to the testing site are almost the same as the ones from King Street Car Park since you have to cross the Crown Street bridge and go along Adelphi Street.

It takes a little longer to get to Glasgow Central Station, which is just under 1.5 km from the test site. Connecting bus services are available, but they take almost as long as walking, so going straight to the Adelphi Centre is your best bet. As you go south on Oswald Street, make a left turn before you get to the King George V Bridge. Then, please take the long walk to the Crown Street bridge going east on Clyde Street, which runs next to the river. Please follow the trip instructions that were given earlier from here on out.

On the ScotRail website, you can find out more about either of these stops.
